ഹജ്ജ്: ചരിത്രം രാഷ്ട്രീയം ആത്മീയം

ആധുനിക നാഗരികതയുടെ പിതാവായ അബ്രഹാം പ്രവാചകൻ വിളംബരം ചെയ്ത ഹജ്ജ് അന്നുതൊട്ടിന്നോളം എല്ലാവർഷവും അനസ്യൂതം നടന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇസ്ലാം മതവിശ്വാസികൾ, ആരോഗ്യവും സമ്പത്തും അനുവദിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ, ജീവിതത്തിൽ ഒരിക്കലെങ്കിലും നിർബന്ധമായും ചെയ്തിരിക്കേണ്ട അനുഷ്ഠാനമാണ് ഹജ്ജ്. ഈ വർഷവും പതിവുപോലെ ദുൽഹജ്ജ് മാസം, മുസ്‌ലിംകൾ ഹജ്ജിനായി മാനസികമായി തയ്യാറെടുത്തുവെങ്കിലും, ലോകത്തെ തന്നെ അക്ഷരാർത്ഥത്തിൽ നിശ്ചലമാക്കിയ ഒരു രോഗാണു വിതച്ച നാശത്തിൽ നിന്ന് മുക്തമാകാതെ തങ്ങളുടെ ഹജ്ജ് യാത്ര റദ്ദാക്കുകയാണുണ്ടായത്.

കോവിഡ് 19 മനുഷ്യനെ തന്റെ ശക്തിക്ഷയങ്ങളുടെയും, നിസ്സഹായാവസ്ഥയുടെയും പാഠങ്ങൾ പഠിപ്പിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഇക്കുറി ഹജ്ജിനായി അനുമതിലഭിച്ച പതിനായിരത്തിൽ താഴെയുള്ള ആളുകൾ തങ്ങളുടെ ജീവിതത്തിലെ ഒരിക്കലും മറക്കാനാവാത്ത ഹജ്ജ് കർമങ്ങൾ പൂർത്തിയാക്കുകയാവും. ഒപ്പം മുസ്‌ലിം ലോകവും ചരിത്രത്തിന്റെ താളുകളിൽ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തപ്പെടുന്ന ഈ വർഷത്തെ ഹജ്ജിനു സ്വീകരണമുറികളിൽ തെളിയുന്ന ദൃശ്യങ്ങളിലൂടെ സാക്ഷികളായി പ്രാർത്ഥനാപൂർവ്വം ഐക്യപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ടാവും.

സാമൂഹിക അകലം ജീവിത ശൈലിയുടെ ഭാഗമാക്കി മാറ്റി പ്രതിസന്ധികളുടെയും അനിശ്ചിതത്വത്തിന്റെയും നാളുകൾ തള്ളി നീക്കുകയാണ് ലോകം. ജുമുഅ, വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച നമസ്കാരങ്ങൾ തുടങ്ങി മയ്യിത്ത് നമസ്കാരങ്ങൾ വരെ നിയന്ത്രണങ്ങൾക്കു കീഴിൽ നടന്ന് കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന സമയത്താണ് വീണ്ടുമൊരു ഹജ്ജ് കാലം കടന്ന് വരുന്നത്. സ്രഷ്ടാവിന്റെ ഔന്നിത്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും ആരാധനാകർമ്മങ്ങളുടെ ആത്മാവിനെക്കുറിചുമുള്ള ആന്തരികമായ പുനരാലോചനകൾക്കുള്ള സമയം കൂടിയാണ് മഹാമാരിയുടെ കാലത്തെ ഹജ്ജ്.

മുടങ്ങിപ്പോയ ഹജ്ജുകൾ

1932 ആധുനിക സൗദി രാജ്യം സ്ഥാപിതമായതിനുശേഷം ഇത് വരെ ഹജ്ജ് തീർത്ഥാടനം മുടങ്ങിയ സാഹചര്യം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല. എന്നാൽ അതിനു മുന്നേ, വിരളമായെങ്കിലും, ഹജ്ജ് ചെയാൻ പറ്റാതായ സാഹചര്യങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ടെന്ന് ചരിത്രം. A.D 930 ൽ ഇസ്മായീലി ഷിയാ ന്യൂനപക്ഷ വിഭാഗം മക്കയിൽ ഹജ്ജിനിടെ നടത്തിയ മിന്നലാക്രമണമാണ് ഒരു സുപ്രധാന സംഭവം. നിരവധി തീർത്ഥാടകർ ഈ സംഭവത്തിൽ കൊല്ലപ്പെടുകയും, ‘ഹജറുൽ അസ്‌വദ്’ മോഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഇതേത്തുടർന്ന് ഏതാണ്ട് ഇരുപത് വർഷത്തോളം ഹജ്ജ് തടസ്സപ്പെട്ടതായാണ് ചരിത്രം.

മേഖലയിലെ മറ്റു രാഷ്ട്രീയ സംഭവ വികാസങ്ങളും, സംഘർഷങ്ങളും ഹജ്ജ് തീർത്ഥാടനത്തെ ബാധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. 980 കളിൽ ഈജിപ്ത് ഭരണം കയ്യാളിയിരുന്ന ഫാത്തിമിദുകളുടെയും ബാഗ്ദാദ് കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ച അബ്ബാസികളുടെയും അധികാരവടംവലികൾ എട്ട് വർഷത്തോളം മക്കയിലേക്കും മദീനയിലേക്കുമുള്ള തീർത്ഥാടകരെ ബാധിച്ചിരുന്നു. കരമാർഗ്ഗം ഹിജാസ് പ്രദേശത്തു കൂടെയുള്ള യാത്ര സുരക്ഷിതമല്ലാത്തതായിരുന്നു ഇതിന്റെ കാരണം. ഫാത്തിമിദുകളുടെ പതനത്തിനു ശേഷം ഈജിപ്തുകാര്ക്ക് ഹിജാസിലേക്ക് പ്രവേശനം സാധിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല. 1258 ലെ മംഗോളിയൻ അധിനിവേശത്തെ തുടർന്ന് ബാഗ്ദാദിൽ നിന്നുള്ളവർക്കും വര്ഷങ്ങളോളം ഹജ്ജിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചില്ല. നെപ്പോളിയന്റെ സൈനിക കടന്നു കയറ്റങ്ങളും മേഖലയിലെ അസ്ഥിരതകളും 1798 നും 1801 നും ഇടയിൽ നിരവധി തീർഥാടകരെ ഹജ്ജ് ചെയ്യുന്നതിൽ നിന്ന് തടഞ്ഞു.

പകർച്ചവ്യാധികളും ഹജ്ജ് റദ്ദാക്കാൻ കാരണമായതായി ചരിത്രമുണ്ട്. വരൾച്ചയും, ക്ഷാമവും കാരണം എ.ഡി 1048 ൽ ഫാത്തിമിഡ് ഭരണാധികാരി കരമാർഗ്ഗമുള്ള ഹജ്ജ് റൂട്ടുകൾ റദ്ദാക്കിയിരുന്നു. 1858 ൽ മക്കയിലും മദീനയിലും ഉണ്ടായ കോളറ വ്യാപനം മൂലം ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് ഈജിപ്തുകാരെ ചെങ്കടൽ അതിർത്തിയിലേക്ക് ക്വാറൻ്റീൻ ചെയ്യാനായി മാറ്റിയിരുന്നു, അസുഖം ഭേദമായ ശേഷമാണ് അവർക്ക് പ്രവേശനം നൽകിയത്. ഇത്തരത്തിൽ മേഖലയിലെ സാമൂഹിക അസ്ഥിരതകളും സംഘർഷങ്ങളും മഹാമാരികളും ഏറെ തവണ ഹജ്ജിനെ പ്രതികൂലമായി ബാധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ഹജ്ജിന്റെ രാഷ്ട്രീയം

ലോകമെമ്പാടുമുള്ള ദശലക്ഷക്കണക്കിന് മുസ്‌ലിംകൾ ഓരോ വർഷവും ഇരുഹറമുകളും ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കി നടത്തുന്ന ആത്മീയ യാത്ര വിശുദ്ധ ഖുർആൻ പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തുന്നത് ഇങ്ങനെ: “ജനങ്ങള്‍ക്കിടയില്‍ നീ തീര്‍ത്ഥാടനത്തെപറ്റി വിളംബരം ചെയ്യുക. നടന്നുകൊണ്ടും, വിദൂരമായ സകല മലമ്പാതകളിലൂടെയും, മെലിഞ്ഞ ഒട്ടകങ്ങളുടെ പുറത്ത് കയറിയും അവര്‍ നിന്‍റെയടുത്ത് വന്നു കൊള്ളും.” തങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിന്റെ വിളിക്കുത്തരം നൽകിയുള്ള യാത്രയിലുടനീളം ദൈവബോധം പുതുക്കുകയും പാപങ്ങൾ പൊറുത്തു തരാനുള്ള പ്രായശ്ചിത്ത പ്രാർത്ഥനകളിൽ ഏർപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

മാൽകം എക്സ്

വിശ്വാസികൾ അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്ന മറ്റ് ആരാധനാകർമ്മങ്ങളെ അപേക്ഷിച്ച് ഏറെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ മാനങ്ങൾ ഉള്ള ആരാധനാ കർമ്മമാണ് ഹജ്ജ്. ദൈവത്തിന് മാത്രം വഴിപ്പെട്ട് ഒരേ ലക്ഷ്യവും ഒരേ വേഷവുമായി വ്യത്യസ്ത ഭാഷയിലും, വർണ്ണങ്ങളിലും, വംശങ്ങളിലും പെട്ട ആളുകൾ ഒരുമിക്കുന്ന സാഹോദര്യത്തിന്റെ മഹാസംഗമമാണ് ഹജ്ജ്. മനസ്സുകളെ മാനവികതയുടെയും ഐക്യത്തിന്റെയും മഹത്തായ മൂല്യങ്ങൾ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്ന വൈവിധ്യത്തിന്റെ സവിശേഷമായ മനുഷ്യാനുഭവം.

ഏകമാനവികതയുടെ ആത്മാവിൽ തൊടാൻ സാധിച്ചതിനാലാവണം മാൽകം എക്‌സിന്റെ വീക്ഷണങ്ങളിൽ ഹജ്ജിനു ശേഷം വിപ്ലവകരമായ മാറ്റങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായത്. “എന്നിൽ നിന്ന് വരുന്ന ഈ വാക്കുകൾ നിങ്ങളെ ഞെട്ടിച്ചെക്കാം. എന്നാൽ ഈ തീർത്ഥാടനത്തിൽ, ഞാൻ കണ്ടതും അനുഭവിച്ചതും, മുമ്പ് കരുതിയിരുന്ന എൻറെ ചിന്താ രീതികൾ പുന-ക്രമീകരിക്കാനും എന്റെ മുൻ നിഗമനങ്ങളിൽ ചിലത് മാറ്റിവെക്കാനും എന്നെ നിർബന്ധിച്ചു. ഇത് എനിക്ക് ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുള്ള കാര്യമായിരുന്നില്ല. ജീവിത യാഥാർഥ്യങ്ങളെ അഭിമുഖീകരിക്കാനും നവ്യമായ അനുഭവങ്ങളെയും അറിവിനെയും ഉൾക്കൊള്ളാനും എന്റെ ഉറച്ച ബോധ്യങ്ങൾ തടസ്സമാകാറില്ല.ഞാൻ എല്ലായ്പ്പോഴും ഒരു തുറന്ന മനസ്സ് സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നു, അത് സത്യാന്വേഷണപാതയിൽ അത്യന്താപേക്ഷിതമാണ്” എന്ന് ഹജ്ജിനു ശേഷം അദ്ദേഹം എഴുതി.

ഇറാൻ ഇസ്ലാമിക വിപ്ലവത്തിന്റെ ആദർശഗുരു ഡോ അലി ശരിഅത്തിയുടെ രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തെയും കരുപ്പിടിപ്പിച്ചത് ഹജ്ജിന്റെ ഉദാത്തമായ സന്ദേശമാണെന്ന് അദ്ധേഹത്തിന്റെ ഹജ്ജ് എന്ന കൃതിയിൽനിന്ന് വായിച്ചെടുക്കാം. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഹജ്ജിലെ അനുഭവങ്ങളും ചിന്തകളുമാണ് “ഹജ്ജ്” എന്ന പുസ്തകത്തിന്റെ പിറവിയുടെ പിന്നിൽ. മുസ്‌‌ലിം രാഷ്ട്രത്തെയും അതിലെ പൗരന്മാരെയും ബോധമുള്ളവരും സ്വതന്ത്രരും അന്തസ്സുറ്റവരും സാമൂഹികബാധ്യതയുള്ളവരുമാക്കുന്ന ഇസ്ലാമിക സിദ്ധാന്തത്തന്റെ പ്രഥമ സ്തംഭങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നായി അദ്ദേഹം ഹജ്ജിനെയും എണ്ണി. ദൈവത്തിലേക്കുള്ള മനുഷ്യന്റെ പ്രയാണമാണ് ഹജ്ജ്. ആദാമിന്റെ സൃഷ്ട്ടിയിലടങ്ങിയിട്ടുള്ള തത്വത്തിന്റെ പ്രതീകാത്മക പ്രകടനമാണ് ഹജ്ജ്.സൃഷ്ടിയുടെ ചരിത്രത്തിന്റെ, മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഐക്യത്തിന്റെ ഇസ്ലാമിക പ്രത്യയശാസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ വിശദീകരമാണത്. വർണ്ണ വർഗ്ഗ ലിംഗാടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലുള്ള വിവേചനം എവിടെയും കാണാൻ സാധിക്കാത്ത ഹജ്ജ് യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ വിശ്വമാനവികതയുടെ ഏറ്റവും ഉന്നതമായ രാഷ്ട്രീയ സന്ദേശമാണ് നൽകുന്നത്.

ഇതേ സന്ദേശം തന്നെയാണ് ജെഫ്രി ലാങ്ങും അടയാളപ്പെടുത്തന്നത്. മാലാഖമാർ പോലും ചോദിക്കുന്നു എന്ന പുസ്തകത്തിൽ അദ്ദേഹം ഇങ്ങനെ എഴുതുന്നു: “തീർത്ഥാടനത്തിൽ ബാക്കിയായതെന്ന് എനിക്ക് തോന്നിയ കർമ്മം ഏതെന്ന് പിടികിട്ടി. ഒത്തൊരുമ, സാഹോദര്യ ബോധം, ഇസ്ലാം വിശ്വാസികളുടെമേൽ ചുമത്തുന്ന സ്നേഹം എന്നിവയുടെ അഭാവമായിരുന്നു എന്റെ ഹജ്ജ് കർമ്മത്തിലെ പോരായ്മ എന്ന്‌ എനിക്ക് മനസ്സിലായി”

ഹജ്ജിന്റെ ആത്മാവ് – ആത്മാവിന്റെ ഹജ്ജ്

ഹജ്ജിൽ നിർവഹിക്കേണ്ട കർമങ്ങളിൽ മിഴിവോടെ നിൽക്കുന്നത് മാനവികതയുടെ ഐക്യത്തിന്റെ സന്ദേശമാണ്. അതോടൊപ്പം, ഹജ്ജ് നിർവഹിക്കുന്ന വ്യക്തിയുടെ ആത്മാവിനെ നിർമ്മലമാക്കി അവന്റെ ആകുലതകളും വ്യഥകളും കളങ്കങ്ങളും ദുരീകരിച്ചു നവജാത ശിശുവിനോളം വിശുദ്ധമാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ദുശ്ചിന്തകളും ദുർവൃത്തികളും കൈവെടിയാനുള്ള ഊർജ്ജസമാഹരണവും പ്രായോഗിക പാഠവും ഹജ്ജ് നൽകുന്നു.

കഅബക്ക് ചുറ്റുമുള്ള പ്രദക്ഷിണങ്ങളിലും, സഫ മർവ കുന്നുകൾക്കിടയിലുള്ള നടത്തത്തിലും മിനായിലെ രാവുകളിലും അറഫയിലെ മൈതാനത്തും ജംറകളിലെറിയുന്ന ചെറുകല്ലുകളിലും ഒടുവിൽ നൽകുന്ന ബലിയിലും വിശ്വാസി തേടുന്നത് അനുഷ്ഠാനങ്ങളുടെ പൂർണത മാത്രമല്ല, ആത്മശുദ്ധീകരണം കൂടെയാണ്. ഇബ്രാഹിമിന്റെ ബലിയോളം വലിപ്പത്തിൽ തന്നെ തന്റെ സ്വാർത്ഥയെ ബലിനൽകാൻ വിശ്വാസി ശ്രമിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. കണ്ഠനാളത്തേക്കാൾ തന്നോടടുത്ത ദൈവചൈതന്യത്തെ ആവാഹിക്കാനുള്ള പരിശ്രമവുമുണ്ടതിൽ. ദൈവത്തിലേക്കുള്ള ചലനത്തിൽ താൻ ചെറുതാവുന്നതും സർവ്വചരാചരങ്ങളോളം വലുതാവുന്നതും ഒരുപോലെ അനുഭവിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. കാരുണ്യത്തിന്റെയും സ്നേഹത്തിന്റെയും സാഹോദര്യത്തിന്റെയും അലയൊലികളിൽ മനസ്സ് സംശുദ്ധമാവുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നുണ്ട്.

മനുഷ്യർ പല തട്ടുകളിലായി തിരിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ഉള്ളവനും ഇല്ലാത്തവനും തമ്മിലെ അകലം അധികരിക്കുകയും, തങ്ങളുടെ നിറത്തിന്റെയും മതത്തിന്റെയും വംശത്തിന്റെയും ജാതിയുടെയും ലിംഗത്തിന്റെയുമൊക്കെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ കൊടിയ വിവേചനങ്ങൾ അനുഭവിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ആധുനികലോകത്ത് അനീതിയും അക്രമവും ഭരണകൂടഭീകരതയും ജീവിതവ്യവസ്ഥയായി മാറുമ്പോൾ,ഹജ്ജ് നൽകുന്ന സമത്വത്തിന്റെയും സാഹോദര്യത്തിന്റെയും സന്ദേശം മുമ്പെന്നെത്തേക്കാളും പ്രസക്തമാവുന്നു.
