ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ദേശീയ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യസമരം കൊടുമ്പിരികൊണ്ട നാളുകളില്‍ തന്നെയാണ് ഫലസ്ത്വീന്‍ ജനതയും ആഗോള സാമ്രാജ്യത്വവും സയണിസവും ചേര്‍ന്ന് നടത്തിയ കൊളോണിയലിസത്തിനെതിരായ ചെറുത്തുനില്‍പും ശക്തമായത്. കൊളോണിയല്‍ തമ്പുരാക്കള്‍ നഖമമര്‍ത്തുമ്പോള്‍ നടന്ന പോരാട്ടങ്ങളെ കൃത്യമായി തിരിച്ചറിയാന്‍ മൂന്നാം ലോകത്തെ വിമോചന സമരനായകര്‍ക്ക് കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യന്‍ നാഷണല്‍ കോണ്‍ഗ്രസിന്റെ നേതാവ്, സാമ്രാജ്യവിരുദ്ധ പോരാളി എന്നീ നിലകളില്‍ അറബ് ലോകത്ത് നടക്കുന്ന കൊളോണിയല്‍ ഇടപെടലിനെ വിമര്‍ശിക്കാന്‍ മഹാത്മാഗാന്ധി ഉദ്യുക്തനായി.
1937ല്‍ കല്‍ക്കത്തയില്‍ ചേര്‍ന്ന എ.ഐ.സി.സി സമ്മേളനം ഫലസ്ത്വീന്‍ വിഭജിക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമത്തെയും സയണിസം നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഭീകര പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളെയും ശക്തമായി അപലപിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ജനത അറബ് ജനതയുടെ ദേശീയ സമരത്തോടൊപ്പമാണെന്ന പ്രമേയം അംഗീകരിച്ചു. 1938 സെപ്റ്റംബറില്‍ ദില്ലിയില്‍ ചേര്‍ന്ന എ.ഐ.സി.സി സമ്മേളനം ജൂതരും മുസ്ലിംകളും ചേര്‍ന്ന് പ്രശ്‌നം പരിഹരിക്കണമെന്നും ബ്രിട്ടന്‍ വിഷയത്തില്‍നിന്ന് വിട്ട് നില്‍ക്കണമെന്നും ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. മാത്രമല്ല, ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് സാമ്രാജ്യത്വത്തെ ഉപയോഗപ്പെടുത്തിയുള്ള സയണിസ്റ്റ് നീക്കം ആപല്‍ക്കരമാണെന്നും പ്രമേയം പറഞ്ഞു.
ഫലസ്തീന്‍ കൊളോണിയലിസത്തിനെതിരെ ഗാന്ധി
ആയിരത്താണ്ടുകളായി ജൂത ജനത അനുഭവിച്ച കൊടിയ പീഡനങ്ങളും യാതനകളും അംഗീകരിക്കുകയും അതില്‍ സഹതപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത ഗാന്ധി, അതിനുള്ള നീതിനിഷ്ഠമായ പരിഹാരവും നിര്‍ദേശിച്ചു. ആത്മീയാടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലുള്ള സയണിസത്തെയും രാഷ്ട്രീയാധികാരം ലക്ഷ്യമിട്ട് നീങ്ങുന്ന സയണിസത്തെയും അദ്ദേഹം വ്യവഛേദിച്ചു.
ഒരു ജൂതപത്രത്തിന് നല്‍കിയ ഇന്റര്‍വ്യൂവില്‍ ഗാന്ധി പറഞ്ഞു: ”ആത്മീയാര്‍ഥത്തിലുള്ള സയണിസം നല്ല ആശയമാണ്. അതിനര്‍ഥം മനസ്സില്‍ ജറുസലേമിനെ ഉള്‍ക്കൊള്ളുക എന്നതാണ്. എന്നാല്‍ ഫലസ്ത്വീനെ കോളനീകരിക്കുക എന്ന (രാഷ്ട്രീയ) സയണിസ്റ്റാശയം എന്നെ തെല്ലും ആകര്‍ഷിക്കുന്നില്ല.”
തന്റെ ആശയം കൂടുതല്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് ഹരിജന്‍ പത്രത്തില്‍ 1938ല്‍ എഴുതിയ ലേഖനത്തില്‍ ഗാന്ധി എഴുതി: ”ഫലസ്തീനിലെ ജൂതരോടൊരുവാക്ക്: നിങ്ങള്‍ തെറ്റായ വഴിയിലൂടെയാണ് നീങ്ങുന്നത്. ബൈബിള്‍ ചിത്രീകരിച്ച ഫലസ്തീന്‍ ഒരു ഭൂമിശാസ്ത്രപരമായ പ്രദേശം എന്ന അര്‍ഥത്തിലല്ല; അത് മനസ്സുകളില്‍ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യേണ്ട ഒന്നാണ്. ഭൂമിശാസ്ത്രപരമായ ഫലസ്തീനെ ദേശീയ ഗേഹമാക്കാന്‍ ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് തോക്കിന്റെ തണല്‍ പറ്റിയുള്ള നീക്കം ആപല്‍ക്കരമാണ്. ബയണറ്റ് കൊണ്ടോ ബോംബ് കൊണ്ടോ മതപരമായ ഒരു ലക്ഷ്യം നടത്താനാവില്ല. അറബികളുടെ മനസ്സ് കവര്‍ന്നുകൊണ്ട് ജൂതര്‍ക്ക് വേണമെങ്കില്‍ ഫലസ്തീനില്‍ കഴിയാം, ജൂത-അറബ് ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ ഭരിക്കുന്നത് ഒരേയൊരു ദൈവമാണ്.”
ജൂത ജനതയുടെ സാമൂഹിക മനശ്ശാസ്ത്രം കൃത്യമായി മനസ്സിലാക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് ശക്തമായ വിമര്‍ശനങ്ങളഴിച്ചുവിടാന്‍ ഗാന്ധിജി മടി കാട്ടിയില്ല. ”ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയിലെ ജൂതര്‍ ഏറെ ആചാര കേന്ദ്രിതരാണ് എന്നത് എനിക്കറിയാം. അവരുടെ ആരാധനകള്‍ ഹൃദയാവര്‍ജകമാണ്; ജൂത റബ്ബി മികച്ച പ്രഭാഷകനുമാണ്. എന്നാല്‍ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ അത് സ്പര്‍ശിക്കാന്‍ പോന്നതായിരുന്നില്ല.”
ജൂതന്മാരുടെ വിശ്വാസങ്ങളെ തൊട്ടുനോവിക്കാതെ തന്നെ അവരുടെ ചെയ്തികളിലെ ദുരന്താവസ്ഥ ബോധ്യപ്പെടുത്താന്‍ ഗാന്ധി ശ്രമിച്ചു: ”തങ്ങള്‍ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട ജനമാണെന്ന് അവകാശവാദമുള്ള ജൂതര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ അക്രമരാഹിത്യം, മറ്റു സ്വഭാവമഹത്വം എന്നിവ കൊണ്ടാണ് അത് തെളിയിക്കേണ്ടത്. ഫലസ്തീന്‍ അടക്കം ഏത് രാജ്യവും അവര്‍ക്ക് ഗേഹമാക്കാവുന്നതാണ്. എന്നാല്‍ ഇതിന് ശക്തിയുപയോഗിച്ചുള്ള കടന്നുകയറ്റമല്ല, സ്‌നേഹവും സേവനവുമാണ് ആവശ്യം.
ജൂതര്‍ക്ക് ഫലസ്ത്വീനില്‍ ജീവിക്കണമെങ്കില്‍ അറബികളെ സുഹൃത്തുക്കളാക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് അവര്‍ക്കത് സാധിക്കാവുന്നതേയുള്ളൂ. ബ്രിട്ടീഷ്-അമേരിക്കന്‍ സഹായം സ്വീകരിക്കേണ്ടതില്ല. മതപരമായ ഒരാവശ്യത്തിന് ഭീകരപ്രവര്‍ത്തനം ഒട്ടും ക്ഷന്തവ്യമല്ല. ജൂതര്‍ ഭീകരപ്രവര്‍ത്തനം നിര്‍ത്തിയാല്‍ തന്നെ ഫലസ്തീന്‍ പ്രശ്‌നം പരിഹൃദമാകും. “അറബ് ജനതയുടെ ഹൃദയം കവരുകയാണ് ഫലസ്തീനില്‍ കഴിയാനുള്ള ജൂതരുടെ ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ഏറെ ഉചിതമായത് എന്ന വസ്തുത ഗാന്ധി ആവര്‍ത്തിച്ച് വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിരുന്നു.
ഗാന്ധിയുടെ സൗമ്യമായ പ്രശ്‌നപരിഹാര നിര്‍ദേശങ്ങളില്‍ രോഷം പൂണ്ട സയണിസ്റ്റുകള്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ സ്വാധീനിച്ച് മനം മാറ്റാന്‍ ആസൂത്രിത ശ്രമം തന്നെ നടത്തി. ഗാന്ധിജിയുമായി ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയില്‍ വെച്ച് തന്നെ അടുത്ത ബന്ധമുള്ള കല്ലെന്‍ബാക്ക് എന്ന സയണിസ്റ്റ് 1937ല്‍ ഗാന്ധിജിയുമൊത്ത് മൂന്ന് ആഴ്ച ചെലവിടുകയും ചെയ്തു. നിരവധി സയണിസ്റ്റ് സാഹിത്യങ്ങളും കല്ലെന്‍ബാക്ക് ഗാന്ധിക്ക് നല്‍കി. എന്നാല്‍ വാഗ്ദത്ത ഭൂമി എന്ന സങ്കല്‍പത്തെ നഖശിഖാന്തം എതിര്‍ക്കുന്ന നയം തുടരുകയാണ് ഗാന്ധി ചെയ്തത്.
ആന്റിസെമിറ്റിസത്തിനെതിരെ
ജൂതവിരുദ്ധതക്ക് പൊതുവെ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന പദമാണ് ആന്റി സെമിറ്റിസം. 1931ല്‍ ഒരു ജൂത പത്രത്തിന് നല്‍കിയ ഇന്റര്‍വ്യൂവില്‍ ഗാന്ധി പറഞ്ഞു: “പ്രാകൃതത്തിന്റെ ഉല്‍പന്നമാണ് ആന്റിസെമിറ്റിസം. ക്രൈസ്തവതയുടെ പേരില്‍ ജൂതജനത ഒരുപാട് വേദന തിന്നു. ഇതിന് രണ്ട് പരിഹാരമാണുള്ളത്. ഒന്നാമത്, ക്രൈസ്തവരെന്നവകാശപ്പെടുന്നവര്‍ സഹിഷ്ണുതയുടെയും സഹായത്തിന്റെയും നന്മകള്‍ പഠിക്കണം. രണ്ടാമത്, തങ്ങളെ വെറുക്കുന്ന സാഹചര്യങ്ങളില്‍നിന്ന് ജൂതര്‍ സ്വയം വിമുക്തരാവണം.”
ഹിറ്റ്‌ലര്‍ക്കെതിരെ ആഞ്ഞടിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് 1938ല്‍ ഗാന്ധി പറഞ്ഞു: ”മനുഷ്യരാശിക്ക് വേണ്ടി ഒരു യുദ്ധം ന്യായീകരണമര്‍ഹിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കില്‍ അത് ഹിറ്റ്‌ലറുടെ ജര്‍മനിക്കെതിരായ യുദ്ധമാണ്. വംശീയതയുടെ പേരിലുള്ള മര്‍ദനം തടയാന്‍ ഇതനിവാര്യമാണ്. എന്നാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ ഒരു യുദ്ധത്തിലും വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല.” ജൂതവിരുദ്ധതയുടെ വേരുകള്‍ കൃത്യമായി തിരിച്ചറിയാനും ഗാന്ധിക്ക് കഴിഞ്ഞു: “പുതിയ നിയമത്തിന്റെ തെറ്റായ ഒരു വായന വഴിയാണ് ജൂതര്‍ക്കെതിരെ കനത്ത മുന്‍വിധികള്‍ ക്രൈസ്തവര്‍ പണിതുയര്‍ത്തിയത്. ഏതെങ്കിലും ജൂതര്‍ ചെയ്യുന്ന തെറ്റുകള്‍ക്ക് ജൂത ജനതയെ മുഴുക്കെ അവര്‍ കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തി. ഐന്‍സ്റ്റിനെപ്പോലെയും, സംഗീതത്തില്‍ മഹത്തായ സംഭാവനകളര്‍പ്പിച്ച വ്യക്തിയെപ്പോലെയും (മൊസാര്‍ട്ടാണ് ഉദ്ദേശ്യം) ഉള്ള ജൂതര്‍ ലോകത്തിന് മുഴുക്കെ നന്മ ചെയ്തവരാണ്. ജൂതര്‍ അനുഭവിച്ച യാതനകളില്‍ എനിക്കവരോട് സഹതാപമുണ്ട്. ദുരന്തങ്ങള്‍ നമ്മെ സമാധാനത്തിന്റെ പാഠങ്ങളാണ് പഠിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടത്. ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് ആയുധവും അമേരിക്കന്‍ പണവുമുപയോഗിച്ച് തങ്ങളെ വെറുക്കുന്ന ഒരു ജനതക്ക് മേല്‍ കെട്ടിവെക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നതെന്തിനാണ്? ഫലസ്തീനില്‍ കടന്നുകയറാന്‍ ഭീകരത അഴിച്ചു വിടുന്നതെന്തിനാണ്? യേശു എന്ന ജൂതനും മറ്റനേകം ഇസ്രയേലി പ്രവാചകരും ഉപയോഗിച്ച അക്രമരാഹിത്യം എന്ന ആയുധം എന്തുകൊണ്ടവര്‍ പ്രയോഗിക്കുന്നില്ല?'”
സയണിസം: ഒരു സാമ്രാജ്യത്വ പദ്ധതി
സാമ്രാജ്യത്വ വിരുദ്ധ സമരത്തിന്റെ തീച്ചൂളയിലിരുന്നുകൊണ്ട് ആഗോളതലത്തില്‍ രൂപപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്ന നവകൊളോണിയലിസത്തെപ്പറ്റി കൃത്യമായ ധാരണ രൂപീകരിക്കാന്‍ ഗാന്ധിജിക്ക് കഴിഞ്ഞത് സ്വാഭാവികമായിരുന്നു. ജൂതന്റെ വികാരത്തെ അംഗീകരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ സാമ്രാജ്യത്വ ബാന്ധവത്തില്‍ മതരാഷ്ട്രം കെട്ടിപ്പടുക്കുന്നതിനെ ഗാന്ധിജി എതിര്‍ത്തു.
“ഫലസ്തീനിലെത്തണമെന്ന ജൂതന്റെ വികാരത്തെ ഞാന്‍ മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നു; എന്നാല്‍ അതിന് സ്വന്തമോ ബ്രിട്ടന്റെയോ ആയ ബയണറ്റിന്റെ സഹായം തേടേണ്ടതില്ല. ഫലസ്തീന്‍ അറബികളുമായി സൗഹാര്‍ദത്തിലായി സമാധാനപരമായിത്തന്നെ ഈ ആവശ്യം അവന് നേടിയെടുക്കാനാവും. എന്തെന്നാല്‍ സയണ്‍ കിടക്കുന്നത് മനുഷ്യഹൃദയത്തിലാണ്, യഥാര്‍ഥ ജറുശലേം ആത്മീയമാണ്; എവിടെയും അത് പ്രാപ്യമാണ്.”
ഒരൊറ്റ മുസ്ലിമിനോടോ മുസ്ലിം ജനതയോടോ അന്വേഷിക്കാതെ ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് സാമ്രാജ്യത്വം ഫലസ്തീന്റെ ഒരു വലിയ ഭാഗം ജൂതര്‍ക്ക് പതിച്ചു നല്‍കരുതായിരുന്നുവെന്നും ഗാന്ധി അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു. യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ പേര് പറഞ്ഞ് ഫലസ്തീന്‍ ജൂതര്‍ക്ക് നല്‍കാനുള്ള ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് നയം എല്ലാ യുദ്ധമര്യാദകളെയും ലംഘിക്കുന്നതാണ്. ഹെര്‍മെന്റ് കല്ലെന്‍ബാക്ക് എന്ന സയണിസ്റ്റ് നേതാവിനുള്ള കത്തില്‍, അറബികളുടെ പിന്തുണ നേടണമെങ്കില്‍ ജൂതര്‍ ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് സംരക്ഷണത്തില്‍നിന്ന് വിമുക്തരാവുകയാണ് വേണ്ടതെന്ന് വെട്ടിത്തുറന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. അമേരിക്കയുടെയും ബ്രിട്ടന്റെയും സഹായത്തോടെ, നഗ്നമായ ഭീകരപ്രവര്‍ത്തനത്തിന്റെ പിന്തുണയോടെ ഫലസ്തീന്‍ പിടിച്ചെടുക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമം തികച്ചും തെറ്റാണ്.
ഫലസ്തീന്‍ പൂര്‍ണമായും മുസ്‌ലിംകളുടെ നിയന്ത്രണത്തില്‍ തുടരേണ്ടത് നീതിയുടെ താല്‍പര്യത്തിന് അനിവാര്യമാണ് എന്ന് ഗാന്ധി വാദിച്ചു. ഫലസ്തീന്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള ഇസ്ലാമിൻെറ പുണ്യസ്ഥലങ്ങള്‍ മുസ്ലിം നിയന്ത്രണത്തില്‍ തന്നെയാകണം, അവിടെ ആര്‍ക്കും ഒരു വിലക്കുമില്ലാതെ പ്രവേശിക്കാമെന്ന അവസ്ഥ തുടരുകയും വേണം. യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ പേരുപറഞ്ഞ് ഫലസ്തീന്‍ ജൂതര്‍ക്ക് നല്‍കുന്നതിനെ ഒരു തരത്തിലും ന്യായീകരിക്കാനാവില്ല.
ഫലസ്തീന്‍ നിയന്ത്രണം കൈവന്നില്ലെങ്കില്‍ ജൂതര്‍ അലഞ്ഞുതിരിയുന്ന ജനതയാകുമെന്ന ബ്രിട്ടന്റെ വാദം തെറ്റാണ്. കുതന്ത്രത്തിലൂടെയോ ധാര്‍മിക ക്രമം അട്ടിമറിച്ചോ ഫലസ്തീൻ ജൂതര്‍ക്ക് നല്‍കരുത്. ജസീറത്തുല്‍ അറബിന്റെ മേലുള്ള നിയന്ത്രണം മുസ്‌ലിംകളുടേതായിരിക്കണമെന്നത് പകല്‍വെളിച്ചം പോലെ വ്യക്തമാണ്. അതേസമയം അഭയാര്‍ഥികളെന്ന നിലയില്‍ ജൂതരെ സ്വീകരിക്കുമെങ്കില്‍ അത് മഹത്തായ മുസ്ലിം പാരമ്പര്യത്തിലെ ഹൃദയ വിശാലതയുടെ നിദര്‍ശനമാകും, മതപരമായ ഒരാവശ്യത്തിന് ഭീകരപ്രവര്‍ത്തനം ഉപയോഗിക്കരുത്.
സയണിസത്തിന്റെ അനാവരണം
സയണിസത്തിന്റെ സാമ്രാജ്യത്വ-കൊളോണിയല്‍-വംശീയ ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങളെപ്പറ്റി വളരെ കൃത്യമായ ധാരണകള്‍ തന്നെ ഗാന്ധിജിക്കുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. തന്റെ തന്നെ പത്രത്തില്‍ അദ്ദേഹം ഇക്കാര്യം അര്‍ഥശങ്കക്കിടയില്ലാത്ത വിധം തുറന്നടിച്ചു: “ഫലസ്ത്വീനിലെ ജൂതപ്രശ്‌നവും ജര്‍മനിയിലെ ജൂതരുടെ മര്‍ദിതാവസ്ഥയും ഉന്നയിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് നിരവധി കത്തുകള്‍ എനിക്ക് ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതിനാല്‍ വിഷമവൃത്തത്തെപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള എന്റെ വീക്ഷണങ്ങള്‍ ഞാന്‍ തുറന്നു വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു.
എനിക്ക് ജൂതരോട് സഹതാപമുണ്ട്. ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയിലായിരുന്നപ്പോഴും എനിക്കവരെ അറിയാം. അവരില്‍ ചിലര്‍ എന്റെ ആയുഷ്‌കാല സുഹൃത്തുക്കളാണ്. ഈ സുഹൃത്തുക്കളിലൂടെ അവര്‍ ആന്റി സെമിറ്റിസത്തിന്റെ പേരിലനുഭവിക്കുന്ന മര്‍ദിതാവസ്ഥയെപ്പറ്റി എനിക്കറിയാം. അവര്‍ ക്രൈസ്തവര്‍ക്ക് അസ്പൃശ്യരെപ്പോലെയായിരുന്നു. ഹിന്ദുക്കള്‍ അയിത്തജാതിക്കാരോട് പെരുമാറുന്നതിന് സമാനമായാണ് ക്രൈസ്തവര്‍ ജൂതരോട് വര്‍ത്തിച്ചത്. രണ്ട് ദുഷ്‌ചെയ്തികളെയും മതപരമായി ന്യായീകരിക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമങ്ങള്‍ നടന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്. വ്യക്തിപരമായ സൗഹാര്‍ദ്ദത്തിലുപരി ജൂതരോടുള്ള എന്റെ അനുകമ്പക്ക് ആഗോളീകരമായ കാരണവുമുണ്ട്. എന്നാല്‍ എന്റെ ഈ അനുകമ്പ എന്റെ നീതിബോധത്തെ മറികടക്കരുത്. അതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ ജൂതര്‍ക്ക് ഒരു ദേശീയരാഷ്ട്രം എന്ന സങ്കല്‍പം എന്നെ ആകര്‍ഷിക്കുന്നേയില്ല. ബൈബിളിനെച്ചൊല്ലി ഫലസ്ത്വീനിലേക്കുള്ള ജൂതപ്രവേശനത്തെ ചിലര്‍ ന്യായീകരിക്കുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ ഭൂമുഖത്തെ മറ്റേവരെയും പോലെ ജനിച്ച നാടിനെ തങ്ങളുടെ ജീവിതോപാധിക്കുള്ള പ്രദേശം കൂടിയായി അവരെന്തുകൊണ്ട് തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നില്ല?

ജൂതര്‍ എവിടെ ജനിച്ചുവോ അവിടെത്തന്നെ അവരെ നീതിപൂര്‍വം ജീവിക്കാനനുവദിക്കുക എന്നതാണ് ഏറ്റവും ഉചിതമായ രീതി. ഫ്രാന്‍സില്‍ ജനിച്ച ജൂതന്‍ ഫ്രഞ്ചുകാരനാവണം. മറ്റിടങ്ങളില്‍നിന്നുള്ള ജൂതരെ നിര്‍ബന്ധ പൂര്‍വമായി ഫലസ്തീനിലേക്കോടിക്കുന്നതിനെ നമുക്കംഗീകരിക്കാനാവില്ല. ജന്മഗേഹവും ഫലസ്തീനും എന്നിങ്ങനെ രണ്ട് ഗേഹങ്ങള്‍ ജൂതര്‍ക്ക് നല്‍കുന്നതിനോടും യോജിക്കാനാവില്ല. ജൂതര്‍ക്ക് ഫലസ്തീന്‍ ജന്മഗേഹം എന്നവാദം ജര്‍മനിയില്‍നിന്ന് ജൂതരെ പുറന്തള്ളുന്നതിനെ ന്യായീകരണമായി ഉപയോഗിക്കപ്പെടും.”

മഹാത്മാഗാന്ധി, ഒരു ഫാഷിസ്റ്റ് ഭീകരന്റെ വെടിയേറ്റ് 1948ല്‍ വധിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. അതേവര്‍ഷം തന്നെ 8 ലക്ഷം ഫലസ്ത്വീനികള്‍ ഹഗാന, ഇര്‍ഗണ്‍, സ്റ്റേണ്‍ഗാംഗ് തുടങ്ങിയ സയണിസ്റ്റ് മിലീഷ്യയുടെ ഭീകര അക്രമഫലമായി ആട്ടിയോടിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. 1943 മുതല്‍ 1948 വരെ ഘോരമായ ആക്രമണങ്ങള്‍ അവര്‍ നടത്തി. അമേരിക്ക, നാറ്റോ, യൂറോപ്യന്‍ യൂണിയന്‍, കാനഡ, ആസ്‌ട്രേലിയ എന്നിവയുടെ പിന്തുണയോടെ ഈ കൊളോണിയല്‍ വംശീയ ഭീകരത തുടരുകയാണ്.
മതരഹിതരും ഭൗതികവാദികളും അവിശ്വാസികളുമാണ് സയണിസത്തിന്റെ സ്ഥാപകരും വിധാതാക്കളും എന്ന വസ്തുത പലരും വിസ്മരിക്കുന്നു. വിശുദ്ധനാട് നല്‍കപ്പെടുന്നത് നീതിപാലന വ്യവസ്ഥയോടെയാണെന്നത് സ്വാഭാവികമായും ഒളിച്ചുവെക്കപ്പെട്ടു. (ആമോസ് 3:12, എശയ്യാ 61:1) അതിനിഷ്ഠൂരമായ അധിനിവേശത്തെ ദുര്‍ബലമായി ചെറുത്തുകൊണ്ട് ആത്മഹത്യാ ബോംബിംഗ് നടത്തുന്ന ഫലസ്തീനിയെ ‘ഭീകരവാദി’യെന്ന് വിളിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ഇസ്രയേല്‍ സാമ്രാജ്യത്വ പിന്തുണയോടെ നടത്തുന്ന ശക്തമായ കൊളോണിയല്‍ പദ്ധതികള്‍ക്ക് ‘സ്വയം പ്രതിരോധം’ എന്ന ഓമനപ്പേരിട്ട് ആഗോള മീഡിയ ന്യായീകരിക്കുന്നു. ഗാന്ധിജിയുടെ സ്വപ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ നിരന്തരമായി തകര്‍ത്തെറിയപ്പെടുമ്പോള്‍ മോദി ഭരണകൂടം വേട്ടക്കാരനോടുള്ള കൂറ് തുറന്നുതന്നെ പറയുന്നുണ്ട്.
